Choosing how and where to live is a big decision, especially when it comes to finding the right mix of comfort, support, and independence. That is where Individualised Living Options (ILO) come in. ILO is not a one-sizefits-all arrangement—it is about shaping your home life around what you want, not the other way around.
With ILO through the NDIS, you can explore different living setups and supports that reflect your needs, routines, and preferences. That is living with a friend, staying with a host family, or having drop-in support at your own place. The goal is the same: creating a safe, stable home where you feel confident, in control, and truly at ease.
At Sunflower Disability Support, we believe your home should support your goals—not limit them. That is why our approach to ILO is flexible, thoughtful, and centred on you from day one.
We begin by getting to know what matters most to you. What does a good home feel like? Who do you want around you? What support do you need each day—or just occasionally? These questions help us map out your vision.
Once we understand what is important to you, we help design a support arrangement that brings it all to life. That includes sorting out what kind of help you will need, how often, and who provides it—whether it is a trusted support worker, a flatmate, or someone just a call away.
We’ll Walk with you through every step—budgeting, setting up agreements, liaising with the NDIS, and getting your plan approved. You will not be doing this alone.
Life changes, and your living situation might need to as well. We will regularly check in, make sure everything is still working for you, and help tweak things if needed—because the best home is one that grows with you.
Because we listen. Because we do not believe in cookie-cutter solutions. And because we know that sometimes the most important kind of support is simply having someone in your corner who gets it.
Let us talk about what home looks like for you. With Sunflower Disability Services, your Individualised Living Option is not just a plan—it is a path to more freedom, comfort, and choice every single day.
At Sunflower Disability Support we acknowledge Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of this nation. We acknowledges the ancestors that walked these lands for many generations before us and who have left a legacy of strong cultural, wisdom and knowledge. We pay respect to the elders who have gone before us. We recognise all Indigenous people and their contribution to our people and community and empower our youth who are our hope for a brighter and stronger future and who will be our future leaders.
