At Sunflower Disability Support, Supported Independent Living is not just a service—it is a partnership in creating the kind of life that feels good to come home to. We believe everyone deserves the right to live independently, safely, and with dignity, in a space that reflects who they are.
Whether you are looking to move into a supported living arrangement or exploring your first steps toward independence, our team is here to help shape a living experience that works for you not the other way around.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is ongoing support with daily living tasks for those who need it most. This could include help with personal care, preparing meals, medication prompts, or building everyday life skills. It is designed for those who need more frequent support—day and night—but still want the freedom to live on their own terms.
We do not take a one-size-fits all approach. Instead, we take the time to understand your story, your strengths, and the kind of environment you feel most comfortable in. Our SIL services are crafted around what matters to you.
We get it—NDIS funding can be a maze. That is why our experienced team is here to guide you through it all. From understanding your budget to working out what supports are right for you; we are with you every step of the way.
Looking for a SIL home? We keep our vacancy listings up to date and can walk you through current options. Each location is chosen to make life easier close to shops, transport, and community hubs.
Great support does not happen in a vacuum. We actively collaborate with Support Coordinators, LACs, and health professionals to make sure your SIL support fits your bigger picture—your life, your goals, your journey.
Thinking about SIL? We would love to help you explore what is possible. Reach out to Sunflower Disability Support to chat about what independent living could look like for you.
At Sunflower Disability Support we acknowledge Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of this nation. We acknowledges the ancestors that walked these lands for many generations before us and who have left a legacy of strong cultural, wisdom and knowledge. We pay respect to the elders who have gone before us. We recognise all Indigenous people and their contribution to our people and community and empower our youth who are our hope for a brighter and stronger future and who will be our future leaders.
